Ready for 2009!
Whats up KD fans!
Its amazing that we are only a few weeks away from the park opening. I really cant wait to hit the midways with all the sites, sounds, and smells. I think one of the first things I am going to do when I get to the park is get me a funnel cake!The rides are flying up at Kings Dominion. Over the last few weeks the rides were moved in to place and the final touches are being made.
El Dorado has done some test runs. The manufacture of the ride had a representative at the park to over see the placement of the ride, and program the rides cycles. Now they are getting the sign in place and starting the construction of the que lines and clean up of the area.
Americana is still being erected. The wheel it self was finished today, and the gondolas should be going on very soon. They even started attaching some of the lights to the wheel. Both rides are on track for opening day!I hope to see you all at the KDfansite meet up at Kings Dominion on opening day!

KD seems to be right on track with construction on the two new rides for 09...I can't wait for opening day which is only a few short weeks away.
Man I can't wait to finally step back on KD ground to have a great fun time again!! :)
I find it hard to believe a "Representative" from Weber, which went bankrupt in the late 1980s, was there to over see El Dorado's placement.
