Opening Weekend & Meet UpThis season is officially underway and it is shaping up to be a great one! I was at the park opening day and had a chance to meet a lot of faces from KDfansite. We had a little lunch meet up where John Pagel came to talk to us, and answer questions that the group had.
Park Ambassadors
If you have not had a chance to visit a Cedar Fair park this year, then you have not seen the newest members of the Cedar Fair staff, the Park Ambassadors.Cedar Point started using park ambassadors a few years ago. The park ambassadors job is to sweep the park, and more impressively answer any questions a park guest may have. There is no limit to the question you can ask. The process is very cool. You ask the ambassador a question, and they will attempt to look it up in a book that they carry around with them. If the answer is not in the book, then they will write your question down and attempt to find the answer. If the answer is not found, the books get turned in and a new addition of the book is printed with the answers to all the unanswered questions.
Its fun for park fans to come up with questions to ask the ambassadors to see if they come up with the answers. But more importantly its great that the park has someone in place that can answer guest questions.
The park ambassadors are part of the entertainment department at the parks.

Below are four questions that I will be asking the park ambassadors on my visits to Kings Dominion. A little test to see how much they know.
1. What is the proper spelling of Carousel?
2. What year did the Scooby Doo Ghoster Coaster start operating?
3. Who built Shockwave?
4. What is the number one Kings Dominion Fan website on the internet?
